Multicultural Day will be Wednesday, March 16! We’ll travel the world and showcase the diversity that makes BE so special. Parents are invited to sign up to present their culture in the school the morning of March 16. All parent volunteers must complete training and be fully vaccinated.
The Bethesda Elementary School PTA is seeking parents and guardians to create Cultural Showcases for Multicultural Day. The events will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. All school-based COVID protocols will be followed. If an in-person event is planned, but there are changes in the school’s status due to COVID, we plan to convert to a fully virtual event.
Cultural Showcases could include storytelling or reading from a book, dance, games, language and script, holidays or festivals, natural geographic sites, etc.
In-person activities would be visiting 2-3 classrooms during the day to showcase your culture. Each classroom presentation would be about 15-20 minutes.
Virtual activities would involve creating a video-recording of your cultural showcase, up to about 5-7 minutes in a flipgrid:
