This week Govenor Hogan announced during a press conference that he is calling all Maryland school to open for hybrid in-person learning by March 1st. The state’s guidance for reopening has been updated also this month (January 2021) and can be read here.
MCPS has issued a statement in response and can be read here. The current BOE resolution from January 12th is for a targeted reopening on March 15th with a plan to meet in February to determine if we have met health metrics. The Montgomery County Board of Education will now be meeting this Thursday (1/28) to discuss the reopening plan (item of discussion for return to in-person learning scheduled for 4:35pm).
MCPS Return to In-person learning health metrics dashboard can be viewed here.
From the previous Jan 12th resolution, the 2020-2021 School calendar is also being reviewed and possible adjustments may be made to it for continuity of learning during transition to in-person learning. No adjustments have been announced at this time yet.
